Buying your first home can be fun and scary at the same time, especially if you decide to build. In 1998, while we were searching for our first home, we were introduced to Ken Hoffacker. He came highly recommended by others in the Bloomington/Normal area. We found him to be not only ‘fair’ and ‘honest’ but his attention to detail is immeasurable. During the 8 years we lived in that home, his quality work spoke for itself. By 2006, our family had grown and we knew exactly who to call, ‘Ken’. Again, he assisted us in every way possible. The process was smooth from beginning to end. One of the things we admire most about Ken is that he allows you to make your home ‘unique’, while others would sell you a carbon copy model. Ken Hoffacker was absolutely incredible to work with on building our new dream home. He provided us with years of experience, insight and money saving ideas. He helped us alter the design of the house to fit the needs of our family. It was so refreshing to have someone open to the ideas of completing a unique floor plan. We could tell he really enjoys his job all the way from designing the floor plan to the closing on the house. Ken was so personable – great to work with, he completed the house on time and did a fantastic job! We love our house.

As first time homebuilders, we were tremendously impressed and pleasantly surprised by what a wonderful experience we had building a home with Ken. I’ve heard so many horror stories about other people’s house building experience, but our experience was delightful! Our home remained on schedule without complications throughout the building process. Ken was present, available, punctual and responsive to our questions and concerns. He offered a variety of options in choosing a house plan and allowed us to make changes, when requested. He offered suggestions and had a tremendous team of sub contractors that did great work. The quality of products and his attention to detail were superior to other builders and homes that we looked at. Even following the completion of our home, Ken has continued to follow-up with us to address any questions or concerns. His craftsmanship is excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others looking to build a home.
